1.  Nantucket, Massachusetts

2.  A New England Road Trip

Turn your honeymoon into a really romantic road trip cruising through the charming towns of New England. Take in the assorted scenic sights of the rugged coastline, and lovely landscapes too. Enjoy intimate evenings in assorted bread & breakfasts In Vermont and Maine. See the White Mountains, and explore Acadia National Park. If you book an autumn wedding you can even take in the fantastic fall foliage.

3.  Niagara Falls, New York

Experts agree, years ago Niagara Falls used to be “the place to be” for a honeymoon in North America. Nevertheless, it remains a romantic location and is still home to several romantic resorts. Mind you, it’s a good idea to take your passports and cross the border to the Canadian side too. 4.  Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts

5.  Savannah, Georgia

Savannah is another honeymoon spot that’s quite cozy. Complete with awesome architecture, incredible oak trees, a relaxed atmosphere, and a distinctly delicious food scene, what more do you need? Stroll the town square hand-in-hand as duck into a museum, experience Forsyth Park, and explore the assorted eateries as you make plans for dinner. 6.  Asheville, North Carolina

Asheville, situated on the edge of the great Great Smoky Mountains National Park, is another fave for a romantic rendezvous. Conveniently located near the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, this is a great place for newly married couples who can’t decide on the city or the country. Its architecture and popular art and food scenes seemingly scream “city” but such action-filled activities as high adventure hiking and white water rafting cry out “country.” 

7.  Charleston, South Carolina

This cozy coastal city is roughly two hours north of the city of Savannah. Charleston not only has a reportedly “celebrated food scene”, interesting architecture, and surprisingly exceptional beaches, it also has a long-standing history that harkens back to the American Revolutionary War. 8.  Hawaii

Hawaii is not only a classic, iconic honeymoon destination, it’s also a tropical one. With multiple islands, there’s much to choose from here. If you’re into hiking, head to the island of Kauai.

On Maui, there’s the popular Road to Hana. Be sure to spend some time on The Big Island exploring the nigh otherworldly Volcanoes National Park. Finally, spend at least one evening taking in the sunset on Oahu’s iconic Waikiki Beach.

9.  Puerto Rico

24.  Northern California

If you want a truly epic honeymoon in the US this place should be high on your list of possibilities.
