Omega Mart, the art installation disguised as a grocery store at Area15, has so much more to it than meets the eye. Hidden inside the exhibit, a bar dubbed Datamosh with eight specialty cocktails.

Much like the Impact Corn, Caltucky Freedom Glaze, and Americanized Beef, fake products found inside Omega Mart, visitors will have to search for the bar; staff won’t direct anyone to the space that features no signs. Instead, it’s one of those things found organically.

The little bar features the Blank Berry Bliss with the Real McCoy Rum, Wolfberger Litchi, Calpico, house-made pink peppercorn Champagne syrup, peppercorn, lemon, and basil seed; the Source with El Silencio Mezcal, Lillet Blanc, shiso, tarragon, lime, and aphoto-worthy rosemary bubble filled with smoke; the Happle with Yobo Soju, Chareau Aloe Liqueur, happle juice (made from unfiltered apple juice, simple syrup, and rice milk), Apple Schnapps, club soda, citrus, and apple blossom bitters. Buzz button flowers muddled into the drink give it an extra kick.

Omega Mart, from Santa Fe-based arts and entertainment company Meow Wolf, brings what it calls “America’s Most Exceptional Grocery Store.” The 52,000-square-foot space features four giant themed areas and 60 additional installation-filled rooms, terrains, and portals to other worlds made by more than 325 artists including Beach House, Brian Eno, Amon Tobin, Shrine, and Android Jones.

Visitors start in Omega Mart, a space modeled after a big-box grocery store, filled with more than 100 custom products such as Wake Up Please! Energy Drink, Whale Song Antiperspirant/Antidepressant, Nebula Loaf, and Americanized Beef. The Dramcorp Offices on the second level of the exhibit offer a look inside a fictional, family-owned business dubbed the corporate entity behind Omega Mart, filled with a Tron-inspired office space. The Factory showcases Dramcorp’s mysterious operations and bizarre production procedures used to make Omega Mart’s signature products. The Projected Desert features an immersive video projection artwork spread over a two stories.

Area15 is a 200,000-square-foot retail and entertainment center west of I-15 with live events and art installations.

Omega Mart and Datamosh are open Monday through Thursday from 3 to 10 p.m., Friday from 3 p.m. to midnight, Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets for the installation are available online.
